Hi! I m 18 and i suffer from painful periods (ugh you know what all this includes
From past 6-7 years.. and before that i had one year of normal periods
I think i might have endo and i m seeing gynecologists from 5-6 years now but none seems to understand my condition 😔 also i have been on hormonal therapy twice and now whenever i m on my periods all i do is pop some painkillers that too doesn't help much i also have to rush to the ER on the first day of my periods to get injected with painkillers and vomiting meds i feel like i m getting addicted to painkillers i do not want to be using them i try my best to avoid but i m left with no other options..
The people around me say it's normal uk it's just heart breaking to hear this from the ones that matters the most..
I had to connect with someone who could understand my pain so i joined this platform 🎗 anyone want to connect please share 🙃

Hello! Totally understand! Sorry you're going through this. I've had a lot of pain for last 12 years too. Have you tried Chinese medicine/acupuncture or ayurveda? Sometimes these things help. Chinese medicine has helped me a lot. Worth looking at French maritime Pine bark (Pycnogenol), serrapeptase, n acetyl cysteine, curcumin... all can be helpful. Just check the risks before you buy them.
I agree with you these things really help ease the pain i haven't personally tried but my mum did..i never thought of acupuncture for myself. But i will surely look into it now. Thank you for taking your time out. Xx
The pain your experiencing isn’t normal. Great advice about trying other things such as acupuncture, etc. Magnesium (women generally lack) and vit D can help.
If you can get GP to do a blood test for hormones, Vit D, magnesium as well as the usual stuff that would be useful. Oestrogen might be too high.
After my experiences I would recommend it’s not left and to get the right help.
Hi there popped a pain killer and went thru the day!I've had numerous ultrasounds and blood tests too but everytime everything comes back normal but i do lack vit D. As for MRI nobody has yet prescribed one. I do wish i could get it done too. But idk should i ask? Uk there's lot of stigma out there :/ Thank you for taking your time out😊
Definitely tell them you want an MRI, unless you get one of the minority ultrasound specialists an MRI will give more info, but they shouldn’t only go by scans for Endo. The gold standard is still an op unfortunately.Ignore any stigma or crap they come out with to put off spending money. The NHS isn’t free, it’s paid for by us. I may not be putting in at the moment but I’m making up for the years I have 😂
Vit D is more a hormone and either a spray or capsule can work better than tablets. I’ve upped mine to two a day as it wasn’t getting very high.
Haha so true tho! I m gonna check in with my gynae soon will make sure to ask. Vit D i do spent some time in the bright sunshine for it as recommended by docs and i do take tabs as big as a capsule lol. Took capsules too but it was for a short period of time. Then i switched to organic tabs for vits. But i will note that down. Your advice is really helpful. Thank you. Positive vibes!
