Anyone had Decapeptyl injections and no change in symptoms/no menopause onset?

I’m about to have my fifth decapeptyl injection to manage heavy bleeding with fibroids and nothing has changed, in fact possibly worse. Bleeding consistently since August with some flooding after 3rd injection. No menopause symptoms. Had add back tibolone HRT from the start but stopped 2 weeks ago to I see if it helped but no change. Am now on waiting list for open hysterectomy but wonder if anyone had similar experience or whether anyone had success persevering with decapeptyl or whether it would have worked by now if it was going to.. Thanks for sharing any similar experience.

It should have worked by now. And if you took hrt from the start it may have stopped it working. Best to wait a few weeks after starting injections to let oestrogen surge die down but it would still of had some effect. Only stopping hrt for last two weeks hasn’t probably got it out your system. Have you confirmed endo? Or adenomyosis? Hyster will of course help later but open hyster is worse thing for endo sufferers as it is more likely to cause adhesions. Also harder to excise all endo during open surgery.
