I am almost 6 months post op laparoscopy/excision for Endometriosis but I have had no follow up appointment with the surgeon (specialist). I was supposed to have a telephone appointment but noone rang me. I have tried to chase this up but to no avail.
Is it standard not to be told in more depth of "you have Endo, we excised it"? I only received discharge papers and a phone call from the nurse a week later.
I was hoping to know more about how much they found, where they found it and their comments.

Hi, im in the same position, i rang gyni on monday to chase them up after my doc told me it would be quicker if i chased it up rather than them chasing it up. Think its just a case of keep ringing them until you get somewhere or go back to the doc and tell them your not getting anywhere by chasing it up yourself
Hi, I had my 3rd lap in April too, managed to speak to the consultant after 4 months ( when he said there had been a mistake as they normally wait 6 months for a follow up), he was very blunt and didn't listen to me. I had a follow up call with the endo nurse at the 6month mark a few weeks ago. Again very disappointing and told that they excised the endo and it shouldn't grow back for a couple of years ??!!! Not what I thought to be the case.Anyway, I've received a letter from the endo nurse saying that she will arrange another call in 2 months time and then look at handing me back to my GP, I'm so fed up. PLEASE PLEASE chase them, try and find email addresses on the hospital website anything else you can think of. Good luck, sending hugs x
