I have a pre telephone appt tomorrow followed by tests- ECG, MRSA, bloods on 12 October. I am not sure what will happen at the telephone pre assessment call tomorrow? Has anyone else had this. Also what is everyone else’s experience on time between these and the actual laparoscopy as I haven’t had a date yet?
Finally, does a high BMI affect whether you can have a laparoscopy or what type of surgery you have. Worried that after all this time of waiting they might say no due to weight.
Thanks all x

The pre-surgery assessment appointment is a great time for you to ask any questions that you have about your upcoming surgery. They usually run through what is going to happen during your procedure. However, the content of the appointment can vary from hospital to hospital, so it would be best to give them a call to find out more.
Again, the time from the pre-assessment and the surgery really depends on the hospital. I would suggest asking if they can confirm your surgery date tomorrow, or who you need to contact in order to find out.
I understand your concerns about BMI affecting the type of surgery that you have. Hopefully this is something that you can bring up during your appointment tomorrow, where things will be explained more clearly.
In case you aren't aware, there are local Endometriosis UK support groups that you can join, to connect with fellow endo patients in your area who often have great advice on the running of the hospitals locally: endometriosis-uk.org/find-a...
Hope your appointment goes really well tomorrow, we're all behind you! 😊
