One week ago I recieved Diphereline 3,75 mg first injection. And one month ago i had lap enfometriosi excision operation. So far I feel actualy grate.. I never could imagine.. that I would feel like yung person again.. (Im still 32).. full with energy. Im worried abaut Diphereline! I heard that it coms with terrible simptoms? Is it true? Do I realy need to use also pill, so I wouldnt get premenopausal simptoms? What is your experience with Diphereline or similar GnRH agonist injections?
Diphereline (Triptorelinum, Decapeptyl, G... - Endometriosis UK
Diphereline (Triptorelinum, Decapeptyl, Gonapeptyl, Triptodur...)= GnRH agonist injections?
I assume you are not in the UK as GnRH agonists aren't recommended here after a lap as there is no evidence that they have any effect on post lap pain. The effects of the injection probably haven't kicked in yet. At first the ovaries are over stimulated to produce a surge of oestrogen and this will usually take effect after 2 - 3 weeks of the injection.
After that any menopause symptoms would kick in and in the UK it is recommended to take combined HRT as well which is the equivalent of the combined pill. This should be started once the flare effect of the injections has ended so I'd start HRT in 2 weeks or so.
Hi there, I had taken steroids for the Endo but didn't do much and 4 operations in 10yrs.I to wait for 2 cycles of periods before I could have the Zoladex GnRH agonist. I tried the HRT but could get on with that. I did get hot flushed for 4 mths and a bit weird by then I'd settled down on Zoladex. I did put on a little weight and went up 1 size but felt so much better. It slowed down the Endo and nearly all most of the pain went and could be dealt with normal painkillers. When I came off Zoladex 5yrs later to do IVF my period returned 6 wks later.

Yess. Im not from UK. I was writing in other groups.. but no one replied. And I noticed that in this group are the most coments on posts...
My doctor prescribed GnRH agonist.. not for postop. pain but because my agressive endometriosis IV.. and endometriosis pain.. that i had almost daily.. and also had constant urinating pain.. that is resolved now. I waited for one menestrual cycle to start GnRH agonist injections.
Hi Mince_LV I'm glad you've found support in this group. Please remember that, whilst we are all here to support each other, we are not qualified health professionals. Please only take advice on hormone treatments from your doctor or gynaecologist. Endometriosis is a really complex condition, and our bodies all react to treatments differently so it's important that treatment is monitored by a specialist. Take care 😊
Unfortunately the scientific evidence is that the injections won't treat severe endo as it produces its own hormones by a process that doesn't involve the ovaries (aromatisation). The injections only shut down ovarian oestrogen. I don't know what the situation is in your country with regard to excision surgeons who deal with severe endo but if you don't have any specialist centres there you might consider treatment in another country under the EU Directive which allows you to travel for treatment. It is only a suggestion but if you look at your health system's website and search for this you might be eligible. x
Hi there, Your hair loss could have nothing to with the Lap. But body stress can effect the hair. When I had my biggest Operation I did have a patch of my hair go white. That never went back to into colour. So I have dyed it ever since. My friend did have some hair loss after a small stroke.Unfortunately time a visit back to your doctor to find out why it happened.
I feel for you.
♥️
Hello, so pleased that you are feeling great since your surgery 😊 I haven't taken Diphereline, so I can't comment on my own experience with it. However, there is brilliantly helpful information on endometriosis treatments on the Endometriosis UK website, if you go to this page: endometriosis-uk.org/endome...
Worth having a read 😊 Take care.
