I was referred by my GP back to my NHS endo specialist and had my appointment on the 14th of June. I was put on the waiting list for a second laparoscopy to remove any further endometriosis, but at the time of the appointment, the endo specialist was unable to tell me how long the waiting list is. I've tried calling the hospital but unable to get through to them.
Does anyone know who I can speak to in order to give me an idea of how long the waiting list will be? I'm based in South East London xxx

Hi when I am usually offered surgery I ask what list they will put me on as you have different categories which means certain waiting times such as category 2 is surgery within 12 weeks. The consultant can put you on any list they wish, I always make sure I am not on the very long list. You can phone the hospital secretary or email and ask her where you are on the list, there is usually a phone number and email on your hospital appointment letters 🥰
You can also ask your GP to expedite your waiting time so they can tell the gynaecologist that maybe your symptoms are getting worse and you have to be seen sooner.
I am now a person who makes sure I get in touch with the departments at the hospital as if I wait for my GP it’s not done as quickly as what I can do it.
Hope that helps. I have and continue to go through all of this too xx
