Since 2012 I haven’t had what I consider to be a ‘normal’ period i.e light-med flow, minimal pain and 5 days long. Fast forward 9 years with countless days of pain, one cycle of Zoladex, countless pain killers and horrific periods to the point I’m rolling around in agony, my local hospital have got me in for an emergency laparoscopy which is on Thursday (2 days away).
Much to my surprise my last period came on time for the first time in 9 years, and other than bad period pains on day one, there was literally no other pain - no agonising pain while I wee or during bowel movement, no heavy bleeding or clots, no feeling faint and no severe period pain.
However, the pain between cycles has returned a week later and before this period my breast tenderness was much much worse than it’s ever been before. Has anyone else experienced this where they’ve had a normal period out of the blue? I’m now feeling sooooooo doubtful they’re going to find endometriosis because of this normal period which would be my worst case scenario as after 9 years I want answers.
