Right glut pain

Hi all,

Wondering does anyone else get bad muscular type and nerve type pain in their glut muscles?

I have the pain all the time but it’s unbearable during ovulation and prior to my period. Have endo stage 4 and adeno. Have had two laps and recently got the mirena fitted.

What do you find helps relieve it.

Thank-you

Sorry to hear you have this. I had an internal and external scan and got told over the phone I have adenomyosis this was April /March time and now I have found out I have a mass the size of a 2p coin just bigger. I have severe pain every day even struggle to walk sometimes have to crawl up the stairs I tend to get the pain mostly on my right side then sometimes it’s all over - it’s a strange thing! - thank goodness I have my partner and his mum to help with our little boy. Im on anti inflammatory tablets and zapain but not working so well now. I have found slight relief with applying an ice pack to my belly moving it all around every few mins to reduce the swelling and ease the pain. I’ll say it helps but doesn’t take it away completely but worth a try! Im awaiting an appointment so hopefully can have the mass removed then…. All the best for you.

Hi, I can't give much advice I'm afraid but I can sympathise with the pain! I've had so many physio appointments over the years and until recently kept being told I has a "tight hip" and given stretches to do to cure it! I honestly couldn't even lie down, it was unbearable. I now know it's endo. In terms of pain relief, diclofenac has been the best for me for the hip/glute pain (up the bum I'm afraid!). Mefenamic acid used to work but as the pain got worse, that didn't cut it any more.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear you are going through that. I had the Mirena for about 5 years with no problems at all and had to recently put it back in to control the severity of my endometriosis but to be honest this time round it has caused me nothing but distress! Was advised it can take up to 3-6 months to adjust to you're body but last time it pretty much worked straight away with me with no bleeding whatsoever. So no bleeding no pain. I guess everyone's body is different. I also have stage 4 endo and Adenomyosis so I feel your pain.

Hi, I think I have the same thing. I was hoping it was sciatica but it isn’t going away. Unfortunately I don’t have periods so I don’t know if it could be linked to endo. Have you been told your glut pain is likely to be endo? I take ibuprofen and paracetamol together which eases my pain. I also sleep with a pillow under my knees. Hope you find something that helps x
