Mirena Coil

So had a mirina coil fitted and after 3 month iv come on again, the doctors looks they can't see the coil up there, anyone else had this happen, going for a scan Thursday to see if they can see it ,

I had the same. Had my coil fitted last September then went for a smear test and nurse couldn’t see the strings so went for a scan and confirmed it was still there just obscured by my fibroids.

Hi, they can move. hopefully your scan will show where it is. If they can’t locate with ultrasound they usually send you for an X-ray . Good luck

They looked for mine with a hysteroscoop, they never found it. O thought it was gone because I got clots and nasty side effects were gone.

Well coil is there, so that's good news, but still having light periods and heavy period pain, the coil was fitted 31st march 2021.
