Hi guys

So I never have had painful periods but the last year I have had really painful ones, I got rushed to hospital January time as I had appendicitis. Even since then I have had awful pain. Lose stool, diarrhoea, cramps, sharp pains a few day before my period and when I’m on, I have had an ultrasound and it was fine I have another one tomorrow. I’m just scared nothing is gunna show up and they are gunna think I’m lying but I can’t deal with this pain for much longer it’s awful 😭😭xx

hi hun how's u doing? I'm sorry to hear that ur suffering and I completely understand where you are coming from, I had yrs of that with the hospital. please don't let them make you feel like that. unfortunately chronic pain isn't something you can see and you can't provide any proof of.unfortunately a scan is unable to show nerve damage which could be part of it? I have pain a few days before I come on, agonising cramps and contractions as well as sharp pain's that will either make me sick or make me pass out.

I get to experience it all again when I ovulate but I always have a constant pain deep down under the pelvic bone if I can help you with anything? even if you just need to vent plz give me a shout 😊 hope you get the help u need xxx

Hey sweetie, as dodgeviperdiva said endo doesn't usually show up on scans (in a few cases it can but it's few and far between) so an ultrasound is really only going to rule out things that can show up like PCOS. Are you seeing a gynaecologist? If so, are they specialists in endo or just basic gyne? You can check this by googling your hospital and looking at the team who care for you. If they're not endo specialists then I'm afraid you may have a battle, lots of us on here have just bashed our heads against a wall speaking to none specialists! They don't understand endo very well and sadly leave lots of us in pain because of their ignorance. Xxx
