I was put on prostap injections and HRT tablets a few months ago and they've just started working great for my pain but the HRT started giving me really bad headaches and my boobs was really sore is it ok to stop the HRT??

Can I stop HRT
Hello! I took 5 consecutive monthly injections of Decapeptyl (same as Prostrap) with HRT and then 5 consecutive monthly injections of Decapeptyl without HRT (so ten months total). I had to stop the HRT because I was cramping, spotting and bleeding throughout the initial 5 months with HRT. When I stopped the HRT, I stopped cramping and bleeding with Decapeptyl alone. It should be fine for you to stop the HRT if it’s causing headaches but you need to ask your doctor to be sure. XoXo.
Check with your doctor first but yes. I stopped after 5 months due to bad side effects
The dilemma is how do you know the headaches are from the HRT and not the prostap? If you’re getting menopause symptoms cutting out HRT could make it worse so might be worth asking your doctor.
Hi ladies,
Can you please tell me what sort of HRT you were taking? I've started Femoston conti 1/5mg after 2 months of decapeptyl but I stopped it as I was getting side effects.
However, i just had my 3rd injection of decapeptyl and my consultant told me to take the lower dose 0.25/2.5 mg, but I'm anxious. I don't want the same side effects.
Did you bleed throughout your HRT?
I have constant headaches since my 3rd shot of decapeptyl and the flushes are unbearable at this stage.
Many thanks
