hello,

I am yet to be diagnosed however I have severe bloat, my stomach is so tight and painful to the point I feel sick, is this common for endometriosis?

I'm also undiagnosed, but yes it's a common endometriosis symptom, they call it "endo belly".

Have you had a smear recently? If it persists its important to chat to your GP to book a smear to rule out anything more sinister.

Probiotics can be a great help for bloating so worth taking some for 3 months.

Very good point! If you're of the age to get smear tests anyway, I can't remember how old you are when you get your first.

I’m only 20 so unfortunately not yet but I have had a colcoscopy??? I don’t know if that’s how you spell it! To test for cancer.

Oh gosh :( that must have been rough at 20 going through such an invasive test! I'm sorry love :( I think it's around 25 that they do smear tests so you are a few years off, I believe they may do one though to rule stuff out before doing further tests. I had just had my routine one so they didn't bother doing it with me, but she said they would have done if I hadn't had it done so recently! Might be worth a chat to your GP love xxx

Thank you! I’m trying my best with the doctors they don’t seem to care honestly as much I complain and call everyday. We may seek private help however it’s so expensive, from what I have read it is a very long process to diagnosis! I am yet to find out results for that as they said it can take up to six weeks but in the mean time I am still pushing for an endo diagnosis as many have said it seems to point to that! This group is so helpful thank you all!

No worries! I'm going private after 10 years of being ignored on the NHS. Im paying £170 for my initial consultation, then I may need to pay for an MRI which is a few hundred. But, the gyne I'm seeing has an NHS list and if he believes I need surgery the receptionist said he places people on the NHS list so they don't have to pay for it :) Getting that first private appointment could be a foot in the door love? Or have you made a complaint to PALS? They can help kick doctors up the bum sometimes :) xxx
