Feeling frustrated

Hi, I’m sorry to rant but I, like everyone here, am struggling. I am 6 weeks post op for endo removal and I woke up today feeling amazing and feeling like I looked good, I haven’t felt that way in a long time. I haven’t been able to exercise much due to winter and endo pain and I have gained some weight. But I FELT GOOD... and then I had a half a bowl of rice and a small pop and I look like I am 8 months pregnant and feel like I’m going to pop from the pressure of bloating. Im just angry that I’m 20 and in the past year have deteriorated from really fit lifting 90-100lbs to a 15-20 lb. weight limit. I want to be in shape but I’m physically unable to right now. I thought surgery would fix it but being on here I’m doubting I will ever get rid of this feeling and disease. If anyone has advice or encouragement, I love my friends and their encouragement but they can never actually understand so it falls flat sometimes. Today is just hard.

What I have learnt in my 12 year post diagnosis journey and after 3 lap surgeries and 1 hysteroscopy is that it keeps coming back. It took time after 1st surgery but the 2nd and 3rd didnt really help. I guess it depends on the stage you are at and also how aggressive your endo is. Having said that, I felt that dietary changes do help. There was a time when I went completely paleo and in 2 months, I felt a huge difference. Its just hard to sustain and I am a stress eater so keep going to junk. Try anti-inflamatory diet. And exercise when you can. You are so young. Hope you feel better. All the best ♡

Definitely will start to look more into diet, it’s hard to make time to meal prep but I definitely need to work on it. I am stage 2 due to not a lot of scar tissue is what my doc said, but the lesions were all over my abdominal cavity and repro tract etc. Thank you for the advice I definitely wish it wasn’t like this 😌

I know what you mean. Life with endo is a constant struggle! I wish people had more awareness and were more understanding and empathetic towards us!
