I have just been reading about infrared sauna blankets and how they are supposedly useful in helping to reduce inflammation. Although most 'claims' seemed to be based on the research done into actual saunas, I wondered if anyone here has ever used one and did they find them helpful for pain management?
Thanks in advance 😃

hi, I did try the sauna itself. it is a nice experience and a great gesture of self care which us endo girls do not do enough but to claim that it helped with the inflammation is an overstatement. do you have a link to the blanket? funny you mentioned it did pop on my google feed as well a few days back but price was way to high for me to even look into it further. for me a lot of rest works ( when i have done my work and chores if there is any time left) ahah
Hi, here’s a link to the one I was looking at uk.mihigh.com I’d never heard of them but some reviews I read said it can help inflammation and it’s good got folk with rheumatoid arthritis but can you ever really trust the reviews?! Just thought I’d put a post on here in case anyone has tried them
I think anything snuggly and warm that relaxes your muscles is going to help pain. Surely only a scan or a blood test for inflammatory markers could show if inflammation was actually reduced?? I wouldn't get too excited by the claims. Im sure it makes people feel good but would want to see trials testing the effectiveness against a warm bath before I parted with any money!
I did a session in an infrared sauna at a health spa and didnt notice any improvement in back pain but it was only one session. If there's a solid money back guarantee theres no reason not to give it a go, just make sure you dont have to pay an extortionate shipping fee to return it
