Hello,

I am very new to this and really just writing for some support.

After a long three years of misdiagnosis and struggle with insurance companies, I have finally been diagnosed with extensive endometrioses on the uterosacral ligament and inside the vaginal vault.

I am feeling extremely emotional about my diagnosis and don't really have anybody to talk to.

I thought after my surgery that I would feel a difference in the pain and that life would return to normal but unfortunately I have the same pain. The Doctor tells me that it could take up to three months to feel any difference and we have started a treatment on Drospirenone.

My main pain is on the inside of the left vaginal walls. If I sit, stand or walk for a long period I get a I get horrible deep dull throbbing pain from the inside that can go down my legs. Most of the time I have a feeling of pressure or heaviness in my left inner vagina that hurts and is extremely uncomfortable . It has also been impossible to be intimate with my partner and is very painful with bleeding.

I wanted to know if anybody has any of the same symptoms and can give me some advise. It would be nice to connect with some people as I feel very isolated and my partner is very tired of the situation.

Thanks so much for reading.

xx

Hey, I have the same and fibrosis of uterosacral ligaments.

There’s something called an “O-Nut” which can help sex be less painful.

My specialist has also recommended “vaginal massage” where you massage the outside with coconut oil- it’s supposed to help it relax and make sex easier/less painful. I’ve not tried that one yet though!

Yoga and swimming have been recommended as exercise that puts less stress on your body so should hurt less.

I’m waiting for my next appointment with the specialist next month and will let you know if they have more advice!

I’m here if you want to talk x
