Mirena removal. Anyone could share their experience?

Hi everyone! I hope you are all safe❤️ I wanted to ask what has been your experience with Mirena coil removal. I’ve had mine removed a couple of hours ago and it felt really emotional, plus now I’m sore in my belly and really swallen. Could anyone share their experience please? Thank you so much in advance!!

My daughter had hers removed two days ago and is bleeding heavy with big clots coming out and bad pain. I’m hoping things get better. Good luck to you.

I had one a few years ago it was a little uncomfortable but I wasn't diagnosed with endo then I thought putting it in was worse

I’ve just come back from doctors and they couldn’t remove mine as couldn’t locate strings 😭 being referred to gynae. Absolutely gutted as me and partner are wanting to try for a baby.

I'm really really sorry to hear that. have they spoken about next steps? I hope they manage to take it out as safely and as soon as possible. xx

No, just said that it could be months before I get an appointment. I’ve been Googling and sounds like if gynae cannot remove it (guessing same way as the doctor did today) then you get referred to have it removed under General. So quite scared.
