When you say full hysterectomy do you mean ovaries as well and do you know what stage of endo you were at the time and was it fully excised by an endo specialist?

Hi. I had my ovaries removed and 11 months later had everything else removed. They have never found the endo but said that is what is wrong.

So they did a hysterectomy and removed your ovaries for no reason other than saying you have endo without it being found? Can I ask how old you are?

I’m 33 and had my ovaries removed at 28. I’ve had issues with painful abs heavy periods since I was 9. I tried all the different pills, implant, injection and coil but in the end surgery was my only answer.

If you think you might have endo you do need investigating for it.

Hello, I’m only 3 1/2 months post hysterectomy so no experience yet, but have been told this can happen. Please check you are seen by an Endo specialist (BSGE Centre), maybe see a women’s health Physio as well? x x

Hi. I'm the same. Had everything removed, not seen by a BSGE clinic but told my uterus was enlarged, hard & confirmed adeno from pathology report. I'm also seeing a urologist as having bladder issues & pain. But also pain in places i had it pre hysterectomy. Been given pain relief buy its not touching it at times & my doctor is ringing me in a week or 2 to discuss things again. Back to see urologist consultant in March as had a little surgery as they thought I had a blockage , but I haven't..I do have stage 2 bladder prolapse now tho :( I have cramp 24/7 as if its period cramps.I am going to be asked to be referred to a BSGE clinic (just incase)but they have said it could be scar tissues due to the surgeries I've had. I'm no longer on HRT patch, but I am on vagifem.

Hope you get sorted, it's not good.
