Double dose of POP desogestrel

Hi I have endo and adenomyosis (had diagnostic lap nothing treated yet). I’ve been on desogestrel for a year and managed to have a few months of no periods (after initially continuous spotting) however now I’ve started having bleeding again most months. Have any of you been advised to take double of desogestrel to stop this and is this effective? Thank you x

Hi,I've been on desogestrel for 8 months now and my doc recommended me to double up on the dose for two months as well. I'm a bit nervous abt doing it bc of potential side effects (i have anxiety) so I'm waiting to see replies on this post lol

Hi, I have just been told to do this too! I have adeno and endo, and was getting a lot of bleeding still. How's it going for you? I took two last night and haven't noticed anything yet...

Actually my GP asked the gynae for advice and she said don’t double up and just wait for follow up appointment next month. Not sure why. GP seemed worried that I have a low BMI and so maybe double dose of pill not ideal?

Hmm strange, it was my consultant who said to double up (and my BMI is pretty low too). I guess I'll just have to wait and see...
