Waiting for a diagnosis I had one years ago but with my symptoms I’m assuming everything has come back.
I started the Endo diet in October. Completely cutting out; dairy, gluten, limiting red meat, significantly trying but probably failing to cut out and limit caffeine and limit sugar.
So that’s is my anew years challenge tackle caffeine and sugar.
Has anyone successfully cut out sugar from the diet if so how have you manage this? Thanks xxx

I don’t think I’ve come across that, but likely missed it. 😆For conditions like thrush it’s recommended to cut out sugar, that can include natural sugars like fruit sometimes. From experience (worked in health food shops) I’d say three months leaving them out should be enough time, everyone is different, but that’s the time scale we used to tell people. Reintroduce any foods separately as you’ll get more of an idea if you do get worse. It’s possible that things have eased.
Thanks for your reply I had the odd bit of food containing gluten or dairy always felt nauseous the day after and with red meat m I get stomachaches and especially around the time of the month I think dairy is definitely a factor not sure with gluten yet
Hello. I'm so interested in finding out more about the endo diet. I'm about to start on mine tomorrow. I've had surgery in 2018 and they removed everything but my pain has got worse. I heard about limiting sugar but I guess it means more refined stuff as some recipes I've seen require coconut sugar or liquid stevia (I'm best friends with Amazon after seeing the list of stuff I needed. Haha).I cut out red meat as I did find it did cause me some problems, but I'm curious to see what else could contribute to my pain. I would love to know what else you thought about the diet and which one you are following.
I literally, just cut out gluten and dairy and cut down on red meat
After trying to re-introduce gluten I felt nauseous so I think that’s a no no red meat caused awful stomach pains, dairy and gluten also made me feel nauseous when I re introduced them
But no massive reduction in pain yet
I’ve not cut out sugar yet so maybe that’s what I need to do
I’m thinking of starting with snaps rather than the sugar hidden in foods and going from there
I have been trying this on and off over the years and it does make a difference. I think the reason from what I have read is because a better diet puts less stress on the liver, so it can detox the hormones which can cause endo etc. in my view anything is worth a try!
