So I'm due my third laparoscopy to excise endo and things have changed from trying to avoid to trying to conceive hence my query!
My lap will be exactly on my ovulation day, which of course means I cannot have sex for 48 hours before (is it longer? can't remember!), does this mean I may miss my peak fertility? Anyone been in this situation? Also have you found the remainder of your cycle disrupted? Like delayed ovulation? Changed cycle length? Can the lap actually cause trauma so ovulation doesn't happen or implantation doesn't happen? Just working out if it's better to give that cycle a miss from TTC.
The last lap was about two years ago. This one will be to investigate re-occurrence of symptoms and excise endo from the easy to get to areas. My specialist will also have a look at my ovaries, tubes, hysteroscopy to see my cervix, uterus walls as we've been TTC for over two years. If he finds anything extreme which he feels may affect / delay our plans then he'll stop surgery there and we'll have a consultation about what steps to take next. I'm 36 so we're a little short on time and options. My hubby of course will be checked in the next few months.
Any thoughts would be helpful.
