Ladies who have had their ovaries removed, have you found anything non hormonal which helps with the hot flushes and night sweats? I have stage 4 endos so HRT isn't an option. Also, how many months/years can I expect to experience these flushes?

Help with hot flushes please?
I went through a phase of hot flushes if you are in UK I got Sage tablets from Boots 30 day supply. I spoke to the pharmacist who was fantastic and also said they had received good feedback from customers regarding the tablets. I wanted to try something natural. They really helped a lot took them for about 4 months.
Good luck
Hi, i second the sage recommendation
are you waking up feeling hot in the middle of the night? If so then a wool duvet is perfect for regulating heat at night (the wool room and many other companies do them). If you don't want a wool one then I saw John Lewis have a synthetic temperature regulating duvet that has a few good reviews.
Omg I had hot flushes 2 yrs before I had my overies removed 12 months ago and they are still with me today every hour 2 hrs half hour no set time I am at my end with it all sometimes I think is it the meds I am on 🥴😫I sweat every night I won’t go back on hrt because of everything else I am pumping into my body but I think I have no choice good luck I truly feel for all women who have this stay safe 😷x
Thank you for your reply. That sounds awful. I really hope you don;t need to go back on HRT and that you find something that works. Good luck to you too x
I paid a lot for my wool duvet. I would save your money! Honestly did nothing, in relation to temperature control and helping with flushes. I still wake every night soaking wet.
Hello. I’m 49 with chronic endometriosis (since 17, diagnosed at 27) and also now suffering from major peri menopause symptoms including hot flushes at night. Body gets drenched in sweat. Sheets are changed a LOT!!!! I won’t entertain HRT because I don’t believe there is enough research, case studies, history for us ladies with endo to make an informed decision. I’m going au natral and have been for years which believe me is flipping tough. Today I had to take morphine and lay in bed. I only do this when I’m absolutely desperate though. I believe in strict diet and exercise though sometimes it’s just unbearable to get through the day. I also have fibroids which I’m sure just tops it all off! I have heard Black Cohosh supplements can really help hot flushes in the night. I’m going to try so will let you know. I have silk pillowcases which I find cooling and an open window and earplugs! Also I sleep alone, do NOT want anyone in bed with me thank you as I toss and turn a thousand times making me even more hot and bothered! Let me know how you get on. Nina.
