Bleeding on decapeptyl injection ???

Hi hope every one is well as they can be,

I wanted to ask those who have been on decapeptyl injection, did you experience any bleeding after having the injections? as I am on my third one and I am experiencing really extreme pain within my pelvic area within the last couple of days and all over my back to my kidneys, as well as faint bleeding and I’m not sure if if I am supposed to be bleeding after having 3 injections?? As surely it would have stopped by now?

Any ideas? Will be appreciated thank you!

Hi Jawaireyam,

I'm on decapeptyl and HRT, I've had the odd spotting since being on the HRT and was told this can be normal, I'm also suffering with pain in my hip area and during the night my hips lower back and ribs, I've managed to get an appointment with my specialist for the 12th Nov, not sure what can be done but I cant carry on like this! Hope this has helped xx

Oh really oh that makes more sense, as I was worried about whether this was normal or not but thank you this does put me to ease.

Yes same here I do suffer from a lot of pains especially near my kidneys aswell these days, which they think I probably have endometriosis on there too.

That’s great I’m glad you have as it is a struggle getting hold of them and even getting an appointment! Yes I get you 100% as I’ve also got an appointment next week with my specialist too and want something to happen sooner as me either! I struggle so much with daily basis things.

Hey, are you near the end and due a new injection soon?

I had terrible bleeding and pains at the beginning and when the treatment is waring off when I’m due for another injection.

Also the blood was extremely old, very dark near black and clotty,

I’ve also had extremely bad headaches this time around too.

Hopefully it will just pass for you.

Yes! I’m due my next one this Wednesday and have been experiencing such bad pains for the last week or so being so intense!!

Oh really bless you! That does make sense as I thought my body would be used to it by now but as you said it is waring off and due my next one soon probably the reason why!! . Yes I can relate! As since yesterday the blood was really dark brown and clumpy and I was quite worried as I never had this before and didn’t know what it was but makes sense thank you this gives me hope!

Yes same I do suffer from migraines and they have been really bad for the last couple of weeks.

I have the pains too, it’s all over my body and like a muscle ache. It’s a common affect apparently so my specialist recommended naproxen for it and trying to do gentle exercise x

Hi,

Thank you so much for replying appreciate it! Yes I do suffer with the pains quite a lot and do have naproxen on a daily basis alongside other medication. It is effective for a short period of time, and then the pain comes back so will need to speak to my doctors again soon.

Sorry to jump on your comment but can I ask if you ladies have experienced awful back pain & headaches with Decapeptyl? Also the hot flushes are AWFUL now..I had my first injection a month ago and thought I was getting away with no side effects?

Not at all don’t be sorry! Yes I can relate to you so much, as I experience really severe back pains and now has spread to my kidneys too, I tried the tens machine, medication but not much help to be honest.

I used to suffer from really bad migraines and they were better for a while but since the injections I’ve been getting them more persistently it is really horrible at times!

Yes! Ive been getting the injections for couple of months now and the hot flushes are still the same as they were when I began the injections! They are more intense now then they were before which is odd, have you been subscribed the side effects tablets with the injection they help to settle the side effects?

I also been experiencing the worst joints pain all over my body not sure if anyone else does too?
