It is just (edible) peppermint oil essence in water I think. You can buy it from health food shops like Holland and Barrett or some supermarkets sell it for baking.
What is it you're wanting it for? They use it to remove air from the abdomen, any mint tea will do this.
Just I am fussy with black teas lol. I preferred what u had in the hospital with was clear and white type of peppermint tea
Normal mint tea isn't black but it is possible that stuff you've had before was black tea with peppermint added (I fell for one of those once, yuk!). There's a company called Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee company that sell on the internet. They have loads of types and it is easy to narrow down the type you want. If you click on a type it will show you a picture of what it looks like once brewed.
However, if you try any health food shop they can usually advise you what they're like.
