Hi guys,

I had my surgery on 9th September, I’ve been wearing tracksuits etc but I miss wearing normal clothes, when can I wear jeans etc is there a certain time frame etc? My incisions have healed very well & no scabs etc anymore. X

Yay, you're doing so well. I'd go with when you feel comfortable to do so; brusing and swelling / bloating post surgery has gone down. Perhaps wear your "nice clothes" for a few hours round the house and see how you feel.

I found that for the first month any jeans which were tight or low cut felt like they dug in or perhaps I was more irritated by them! So I switched to my high waisted ones which felt much better and actually made my stomach look flatter (less bloated) however the would get uncomfortable after a few hours just because I felt like my abdomen needed room when healing. I actually now prefer tights and flared dresses / a line skirts :)

Hi Chloe,

Believe it or not today is the first day since my surgery (4wks last Friday) that I have worn a proper pain of jeans. I’ve been living in my jeggings. Looser and softer and a lot more flexibility than my jeans. Much more comfortable. And they made me feel more human than wearing my jammies.

I’ve also been wearing leggings more. Xxx

Hi. Same as Kesbell88, it took me a month to try for jeans and even so, I didn’t button them up, just did the zip, as it would get sore and only for a couple of hours. I wore a longish top. Leggings are comfortable and we can look civilised with a nice top.😊
