2 weeks post op & intercourse

Hi guys!

I’m 2 weeks post op now & me and my husband want to start trying as soon as possible but I’m unsure of how long we have to wait, I did ask the nurse and she said normally 2 weeks but to check with my consultant & my consultant is away for 2 weeks so I’m unsure of what to do? Should I just wait to speak to her or try? I don’t want to cause myself any problems etc? Anyone have any advice xx

Hi I had major excision surgery for both pain and fertility reasons and we are desperate to be parents when I asked the intercourse question I was told 4-8weeks (different drs different advice) I think it depends on what you had done and what your consultants say. One of mine said do it when you feel ready but if you have any discomfort etc to stop as internally you are not ready. For me I will probably wait but that is just for fear of making anything worse as my recovery has been very up and down.
