I had ablation surgery in April 2019 via laparoscopy (endo in Pouch of Douglas) and am now preparing for 2nd surgery likely around May 2021 due to no success with easing my endo symptoms.
I'm interested to know if you have undergone more than one laparoscopy for endometriosis?
Thank you, Amy x

I've had four; two with general gynaes who failed to diagnose me, two with a specialist. He performed excision both times and hysterectomy in my most recent surgery (I had adenomyosis too).
You may already know but ablation isn't very effective. I think only 30-40% of patients experience relief and are much more likely to experience symptoms again later. Excision is the gold standard and you have every right to ask for referral to someone who can operate in this way. Good luck to you ❤️
Hi Amy-Marie. I have had 2 but I also control successfully the pain and symptoms with an exclusion anti-inflammatory diet which has been my main support over the past 16 months. My diet is free from: gluten, dairy, soya, chocolate, caffeine, brown rice, apples. x
