Bye bye uterus!!

Well I've been up since 3am.... Not due to arrive at the hospital until 12pm. Had a light breakfast around 5am and just water now until I arrive. Trying to stay positive and think this is going forwards to a better life no more pain or hospital admissions. Thousands of women have open surgery every day and get through it!! Us women r brave never underestimate yourself. Hope everyone is well, and wele speak soon! Much love Naomi xxxx

Keep us updated how you are /have got on. Open isn’t much different to keyhole as surgery goes, and they are much tidier than years ago.

Take care 🙂

I’m sure you’ll be ok and likely get best care going 🙂

When you feel up to it, let us know, I think you’ll probably be too sleepy.

Pain consultant suggested amitriptyline for the pain. GP is going to love this one, they offered antidepressants last year a few times. He did say it was for pain not depression. It’s his first option for nerve pain. I’ll give anything a go at this point. I’m hoping it will speed things up with the gynae side

Oh did they I have heard amytryptline is quite good for pain I'm alergic. Sat here in my stockings and gown ready to go down I'm having a spinal block and he said fentynil and propofol to knock me out xxx

hi. I found it really good for nerve pain, did make me really sleepy to start with but after a few weeks I was fine 😊. Hope it helps as the constant pain is draining ☹ . Xx

Many thanks 🙂

Tell me about it, absolutely had enough. I think he could see that, all I could see were eyes because of the mask. Doesn’t work well for reading someone so well, but didn’t avoid looking me in the eye. GP has texted to say script is done, that’s something. I don’t really want to go out again.

Good luck Hun don’t forget What I said, they will calm you down if your worried and about recovery, abdominal surgery is much slower recovery than you realise, take it really slow, don’t worry if you’re not home on the weekend, that’s more rest for you, but they do like you to go as soon as they know your ready, I was a Wednesday to Sunday girl, I even forgot about the world outside until I picked up a magazine 😂we’re all different.

Maybe you can call friends and family this morning to take your mind off it that’s what I did on the way to hospital. Good luck Hun

It’s ok to feel nervous and scared your human, sending you lots of hugs 🤗 xx
