Does anyone else get period pain 10 days before period starts?

For years I had a regular 28 day cycle and I would get period pain exactly 7 days before the start my period and only for that day. In the last few months it’s changed to 10 days before my period and now lasts for between 4-6 days and then goes away again until my period starts.

I’ve been for a pelvic ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound and they found an endometrial polyp 8mm, which I’m hopefully having removed next week.

Do you think the pain could be connected to ovulation at all? This has always been the most painful time of month for me 😔
