Last week I had a phone call from my Gynecologist saying that I was being discharged and my operation cancelled. I was due to have a laparoscopy in July to fully diagnose what is currently "suspected endometriosis". Therefore I have been discharged without a diagnosis. I have a mirena coil which was put in by my Gynecologist a year ago, after I was first referred - my symptoms are much improved but I still have significant pain, bloating and painful sex. I'm just not really sure what to do now? The Gynecologist said to seek another referral in a couple of years if there is no further improvement and at that time they hope the NHS will be in a position to offer laparoscopys again for suspected endometriosis patients.
Has anybody had a similar experience? Any advise of what I should do now? Also, does anybody use alternative medicine and is there any you would recommend?

Omg that is not on a couple of years I’d tell them no I want the laparoscopy now your not in a position to wait.complain to the pals team tell them you are still in pain and need treatment
I agree with the others. Seems like if they can get away with this they will to try to avoid breaking the ‘18 wk’ time slot to get operations completed. I think it’s 18 wks or thereabouts. It’s not as though everyone in the whole country isn’t aware of delays.
It might also be worth joining Benenden health, it’s not like private health but once you get a appointment they can fast track you & you do go through the private side of the hospital, it’s approx £10 a month & covers you for tests etc
