Hi
Looking for some positivity! After 3 years of awful endo pain, and trialling the depo injection (to no avail - pain settled by 70% which is amazing but just made me bleed constantly), my consultant has started me on provera (1 tablet, 3 times a day, indefinitely) this week and mentioned adding me to a laparoscopy waiting list once all the covid stuff has settled!
My questions are:
- there are lots of people on here saying it didnt work for them, but has anyone had any positive experiences from it?
- can it be used alone as a contraceptive? I have an implant due out in August (+/- a few months due to covid!!!)
- if/when I am ready to try for children (approx 2-3 years), I have heard that it wears off quite quick when you stop taking it so periods should return *somewhat* quickly? I am not in a position to try for children right now (as have had many people tell me to try sooner rather than later).
- if this does not work, what is my consultant most probably going to suggest next?
I would be grateful for any positivity anyone can give me right now ha! xxx
