Hi after having a total hysterectomy for adenomyosis in 2016 but kept overies lost blood so had post transfusion and developed post infections so readmitted to hospital then 2 weeks after had family bereavement so couldn't rest. Developed lower right pelvic pain that turned out to be a cyst on my overy that had to have surgery for I asked them to take both overies as didnt want more surgery they tried to do key hole but turned out they also had to do open as had extensive adhesions they managed to take right overy but not the left as the adhesions were so bad they couldn't remove else I'd of had a colostomy bag after developed lots of pelvic pain and bleeding from bowel seen pain management no luck with them then in 2019 developed pains that thought was bowel spasms sent to a&e after ultrasound found cyst on left overy seen by different gynie doctors no explanation had urgent mri as had solid components and blood filled. Then 4 weeks after collapsed after vomiting and lost lots of blood from bowel had to go a&e they said was sickness bug? Second ultrasound showed the cyst has gone so after begging gynie to sort left overy as cant have surgery and dont want any more cysts the decided on zolodex the 1st 1 felt great until the 3rd week and on 2and injection but have had migraine like headaches daily that are quite painful and hot flashes through the night but pelvic pain is gone just feel like I'm taking pain relief constant unsure wether to have the 3rd and 4th today also started mild bone pains any one else had this? Thanks AJ

Have they given you HRT alongside the Zoladex?

No I went to see gp yesterday as so fed up I asked them about hrt but she said she couldn't prescribe them and referred me back to gynie only thing is I probably wont get in to see one until the hospitals are up and running properly.

A GP can prescribe, she didn’t want to because she probably wasn’t sure.

I know the gynaecologist I saw put it along with the Zoladex in the letter.

Can you try contacting the consultants secretary to ask, maybe they could send a message to the surgery.

Progress 😀

GP’s gave to be pushed to do anything, which is a pain, tiring, upsetting, amongst a whole heap of other crap. So much easier if they just did the right thing to begin with. The consultant seems pretty good though.

Great you’re feeling a little better, with a bit of luck things will improve.
