On average how long waiting for an gynecology appointment when referred?

Hi, On the 27th of feb I had sharp pains in my pelvis area where I barrelling over. I had keyhole surgery for appendicitis on the 5th march. But 2 months later still having bad pelvis/ abdominal pains, getting pains when sexually active with my partner of 3 years. Also having pains after releasing my bowels. I have recently been referred to a gynecologist as my doctors and myself feel I might have endometriosis. I'm not sure how to feel yet as I want to get confirmation first. My question is how long does it on average take to get a gynecology appointment after getting referred? Thanks in advance

Hi, I rang the hospital after my referral and they said they currently have a 16 week waiting time, I’ve been waiting 12 weeks and they still don’t have a date for me. I’ve already had an ultrasound which showed suspected endo and I’ve been back to the doctors 3 times since with severe pain and they won’t fast track me to see a gynaecologist so I can have a laparoscopy. It’s very frustrating! If you call the hospital you’ve been referred to, they should give you a rough estimate on their waiting list, but with COVID-19 they have delayed a lot, hope you get seen soon!

Thank you! I will do this. I hope you get sorted soon too. Might have as well as docs number on speed dial I phone that much with serve pains lol
