I had a ultrasound scan at end of June 2017. First consultants appointment 6th July 2017. Hystoscopy biopsy 15th August 2017. I have second consultants appointment 12th October 2017. I'm waiting to have a laparoscopy to remove a 6cm chocolate cyst and to hopefully find out what stage the endometriosis is at. I hope by November 2017 to have the laparoscopy as it should be at the 18 week wait that NHS guidelines quote by then.

It depends how many appointments you have with gynae first really. Some people get lucky and get a consultant appointment through quickly and are sent for laps straight away. Mine took a bit longer because the doctor I met originally didn't want to make that decision herself so kept asking me to come back to meet the consultant. My last consultant appointment was in early May and I had my lap in June.... it should've been July but I got a cancellation. My GP had referred me to gynae in September.

Hi Hun I was referred by my GP to see someone in gynaecology 4 years ago and I was told there was a very big waiting list to be seen, however when I had to keep going back to the GP with constant pain I was referred quicker but still seen a year later and put in for a laparoscopy the upcoming may. I've now been diagnosed with endo but waiting a follow up to know a bit more about it. Hope this helps

I first went to my doctor then I think it was just less than a month after I got a hospital appoinment it will be about 5 months after my last doctors appointment I will be seen because they put me on the pill trial which I dont think helps much I dont know if I will have an operation or be tossed around again

I was backwards and forwards to Drs nearly every other day from Oct/Nov. I was then sent to hospital with suspected appendicitis. Pain eased up for a couple months then came back with a vengeance in Feb this year. Then again backwards and forwards to Drs with pains. I was referred to a consultant in gynaecology. I saw them 16th June. I’m still waiting for my laparoscopy. Keep being told different things whenever I ring to find out when my appointment will be. Hope you get sorted xx

Hey becky2889. I was first refered to a gynae back in april, 1st gynae appt was July, 2nd gynae appt was end of august and at that appointment she put me on a waiting list for a lap, and my operation date is 28th september. It all depends on waiting lists in your area x
