I am a patient of endometriosis since 15 years. I am 32 years old. Now my endometriosis is in stage 4 and my laparoscopy surgery was planned to be held on 6th May, but my surgery has been postponed due to this corona situation. In this time, my doctor suggested me to take dienogest for 3 months before surgery but now I am feeling some side effects of this medicine as cramping in legs and back, joint pain, spotting, generalized weakness. So I want to stop this medicine. I don't have any period in this last 4 months. But I am confused about this. Do I need to stop or continue this medicine? If I stop how long it will take to return my normal periods? Or can I start again after one or two months of stopping this dienogest? Anyone have any suggestion, please help me. Thanks a lot.

Hi,
Sorry that you are struggling at this difficult time.
I think these are all questions you need to ask a medical professional really that can access your history and situation. If you think you are reacting to medicine you should contact your GP they will be able to advise you.
Good luck
