Im 26 years of age married from 1.5 years. I had recently gone through open surgery last feb. I had severe endometriosis on left ovary (3 cysts including hemorrhage cyst with septations and pcos on right ovary. My gyne tried best to remove all the endo from my left ovary and did ovarian drilling on right one. Then she put me on zoladex for 2 months but first month it didn't work for me as i got peroids on 26 feb ( surgery was on 1st feb) and then she added danazol second month to see how my body react to this. Well i got no peroid in march. I had severe side effects of it hot flushes night sweats and headaches etc. I wanted to conceive now as soon as possible because im afraid that my endo will come back in some time... Kindly guide me how long should i wait to conceive to get all zoladex out of my system amd start a family.

Hey... I was on Zoladex last year too! My last injection was June 2019 (10.8mg) and I was told that would last me three months to start trying to conceive. I wasn't sure I wanted to have a baby. I still had mirena coil in too.

End of August 2019 I decided that we should at least try and see what happens, so I had my coil out. My specialist said that we would be okay as it was coming up to three months after the Zoladex. Not that I was having periods anyway. Still aren't haha!

If you had Zoladex 3.6mg, they say you should have that monthly so I would assume once your period is back that you're okay to start TTC. I'm not sure about the other drug you've been administered as I didn't have that. I would check with your consultant or GP really. I think you should always discuss if you're trying to start conceiving with a GP anyway, regardless of endo.

Hope this helps x

I'm honestly not sure what's happening. Last injection was June 2019 and I've still not had a period I don't think. I had one very unusually short bleed last week following a faint positive pregnancy test but not sure what's happened with that (whether it was an early miscarriage or chemical pregnancy or a period?!). It's difficult because I have no dates for anything. So just winging it for the time being and hoping for the best. I wish I had never touched Zoladex.

Good luck 💛

Oh sorry to hear that, but dont worry its going to be good soon...

I hope my peroids will be back shortly!! Why were you having zoladex injection. U suffering from endometriosis?? I hope not 😳 😞

Plus if you have a faint positive line then you should wait for some days because it could be implantation bleeding as you bleed. Take another test after some weeks. I hope zoladex works for you.

I really hope so!

Yeah I was having them for endo after my laprascopy last March. So didn't have them long.

Yeah after the bleed I have been to the early pregnancy unit, had an ultrasound and there's no sac or heartbeat so I'm assuming that means the bleed was a miscarriage or a chemical. 😔💛. Thank you though, and you take care. X
