I had my lap back in Aug and they didn’t find any endo, which in a way is good news. At the time they fitted me with the mirena coil. This hasn’t helped, I’m still have horrendous pain and I have tried every other contraception out there. I have had painful periods and everything that comes with it since I first started them at 11, I am now 23. It doesn’t help I have hormonal acne which is now also flaring up and it’s massively getting me down. Does anyone have any other ideas of what it can be? My mum, aunt and cousin have all suffered with some sort of endo, with my mum being the most severe and having a full hysterectomy at the age of 30. I’m slightly worried the docs and specialists are missing something.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I’m sorry to hear you’re not getting any relief and haven’t had a diagnosis I am also in the same position as you my lap was negative but the surgeon suspected something wrong with my bowel so I went to my gp who referred me to a specialist. I’ve no idea what it could be and feeling quite anxious about it. Was the surgeon a general gynaecologist or an endometriosis specialist? And were you able to request photographs from the surgery?x
Oh gosh, I’m so sorry. It just feels never ending 😫. I’ve had bowl issues pretty much since I can remember, I’ve never been referred to a specialist as it always seems to be around my cycle I have more issues. I’m not sure if the surgeon was an endo specialist or not, to be quite honest I spent a total of 10 minutes with her junior and was told this is what will be happening opposed to actually having a say in the matter. I’ve never thought about requesting the photographs from the surgery I kind of just trusted that they were the specialist and I wasn’t. Guess you know your own body better than anyone else. I’ve been referred back but will take another 6-9months I except so currently coping with the Mirena coil and the pill to see if that helps! Xx
Mine have also been around my cycle, literally a week after my op I got my period and the symptoms started again so I’m still not convinced😩 I was exactly the same and put my trust into them but done lots of reading on here and it sounds as though mine was a waste of time as they didn’t touch my bowel which was where they suspected it may be. Hopefully they will do further investigations and you can get some answers! The injection worked wonders for me and has controlled my bleeding for the last two years and massively reduced a lot of symptoms xx
