My current gynae is pretty sure I have endometriosis, but its not confirmed, I'm just wondering if anybody still experienced worsened symptoms on a cyclic basis, whilst on zoladex.
I started on Zoladex 9th January, first month was very rough, second month my symptoms have improved a lot, but I'm still getting an increase in symptoms, in time with when I should be ovulating and starting a period. Does anybody else experience this? Or am I just crazy 😅
Hi. I’ve been on Zoladex for a year now and every month without fail I have cyclic pain. It’s not uncommon. All the Zoladexdoes is stop the endo spreading. It doesn’t do anything for the endo already present. Endometriosis produces its own oestrogen so that could be causing the pain. I find mine is worse the week following my injection. I get horrible side effects from Zoladex too. You need to get a confirmed diagnosis because if you’re still getting pain your endo might be quite invasive. Mine is on my bowel, bladder and pouch of Douglas and it’s penetrated quite deep into the tissue. Currently waiting for a date for deep excision surgery. Good luck, hope this helped. Thank you, its reassuring that it's not an uncommon thing, I guess. I've had a Laparoscopy 7 years ago, and they found nothing, but all my symptoms continued. So a new gynae thinks it was missed, but is also reluctant to do a second Laparoscopy, instead hes done an MRI (that was clear) and started me on zoladex to try control my symptoms. I'll check that book out thank you
