I was just wondering if anyone still continued to experience symptoms whilst not having a period. For me I'm on my 8th month of Zoladex after a laparoscopy with ablation and I'm experiencing nausea, leg pains, back pain and ovary pains. Nowhere near as bad as the symptoms my period would bring but nevertheless still something. My partner keeps saying there could be something else wrong with me because the endo surely isn't currently growing(?) Unsure if that's a little narrow-minded. I'm feeling a little lost and feel as though I'm going to have to endure another journey to validate my pain. Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hey Evangelinie, sorry to hear you're still in pain. I've just in my first month of Zoladex and am struggling with the opposite, where I was told to expect 2-3 first weeks to be pain hell, but I've hardly had any pain compared to my usual period pain so am worried something isn't right - it's a struggle either way I guess! I was told by my Dr that he does not recommend taking Zoladex for longer than 6 months at a time maximum as it can have serious effects on your health so wonder if this could be why? perhaps speak with whoever prescribed it to you and let them know?
Thank you for replying! I'm so glad to hear you're doing well 😀
I was under the same impression about the 6 month thing! When I had my check up appointment at 6 months I explained I was still experiencing leg and back pain and he went on to prescribe it for a further 4 months and I guess I didn't argue it because they're meant to know best! Haha although don't get me wrong this pain is nowhere near a period pain so I guess I can cope and be thankful for that 😅
I have had my 3 injection I still have pain and now they are looking at my bowel I ended up in a&e on Friday and got given pain suppositories but they didn’t work x
Glad to hear that the pain isn't at the level of periods, but do get a second opinion if you feel like something isn't right. I've had to argue my way to get the right treatment over and over again and am finally better. Don't give up

Hi,
I am in month 6 and do still get back, leg and some ovary pain but the majority of the worse has subsided. I’ve been told that sometimes the body remembers pain and continues to trigger nerve stimulation even when the original cause has gone. That being said I would speak to your gp to check there isn’t anything else going on.
Zoladex is only licenced for 6 months for endo but can be used for longer. If you are on it for over a year they recommend bone density scans to check not being affected.
I have been on this 6 months. I have also experienced ups and downs too and similar symptoms that you describe. Each month it's just got worse. I'm convinced they stop working so well as you go along. Speak to your consultant or nurse next time you go for one and they should help you.
