Just wondering if anyone experienced joint pain whilst having zoladex? The last few days my wrists have been so painful and now my ankels, elbows and knees are too. Im two weeks off my 3rd one and not on HRT. Just wondered if this was a normal symptom?
Thanks

hi, in the beginning i did have joint pain, my doctor recommended me to incerease the HRT, i was taking a pill and switched to patches, the patches were brilliant!
once i had the patches i increased as the months went on, the increase in HRT/Estrogen improved my mood, made me feel more awake/energised (less tired) and joint pain went away withn days.
Zoledex at the start was difficult for me but that because my body was going from menstrual to perimenapusal to menapausal! so we halt all the hormones and add back the estrogen, my hair grew back lovely long and thick, skin looked beautiful and it was a great after my body adjusted. i also lost weight from the belly /hips. i would of stayed on it but i want to have a family....
zoledex is great perservere with it
my patches were estrodol 25mg then as i progressed (i had 9 months worth of injections) i went up to 50mg then 75mg. I had tried ellests solo tablets (i put a few pounds on not alot) then went onto Livial?tuberlone and i bleed and ballooned with weight!
I had severe joint and muscle pain on prostap ( which is same family of drugs ) so they added in addback hormines ( hrt ). However I started bleeding on that so thy cancelled my 6 month course after 3 months.
ask about addback hormones - it should help matters assuming that you do ok on it
Hi, I did have joint paints but after the treatment of zoladex I took calcium over a period of 2 months. It is said that Zoladex absorbs all your calcium that is why you have joint paints. U can try the calcium as it is also helpful in diminishing endo pain
Hi, could I advise you to tell your GP or consultant? Because Zoladex can cause osteoporosis (thinning of the bones) so you may need a scan to see if you are losing bone density. HRT is the recommended method of preventing this. I don't want to worry you, but I would seek medical advice if I were you.
I'm not sure, but it may be possible depending on what your bone density was like to start with (this is hwy they dont give it to under 18s). Everyone is different!
