I am recovering from my third laproscopy for discovery and treatment of endometriosis. The operation was on the 30th December and it is taking me so long to get back on my feet fully. I am starting to get up on my own, laying down and sitting up are the main problems.
One of my glue stitches have adhered itself to my first dressing and won't come off, at all, with a mixture of glue and blood it has stuck to it.
Has anyone else had a third operation? In total for abdominal operations this is my fourth. Could that be why it is taking me longer to recover?
I am eating clean, not drinking or smoking to maximise my body functions and ensure my weight doesn't increase while I am still deflating from all the gas they pumped me with.
Any advice is appreciated.

To remove the dressing, try and soak the dressing a little bit, should help it come off. Just make sure you thoroughly dry your wounds afterwards. I started having a bath without my dressings a week after surgery and they are completely healed now. My surgery was 19th December Hope this helps x
I have tried soaking it off in the bath, with some antiseptic spray, warm water on a flannel, everything and if I move it at all, it pulls the glue of my scar and makes it bleed. This is my third laproscopy it is driving me mad how slow I am recovering.
