Does anyone know when the pain is meant to go, after having laparoscopic surgery to remove a cyst and scar tissue? I had it about 6weeks ago.

Hi. I had a lap to remove endometrial cyst in my ovary last march. I never had any pain in my pelvis. The pain was from the lap holes and stitches. It may be different for you as I never had any pre op pain. I would go to your GP or call the secretary if the doctor who did your procedure and they might follow you up. Good luck x

Hi lovely, I had my lap in March 2019 - I was really confused because I thought it was meant to cure my pain however 9 months down the line it was still there. I think it is different for everyone but 6 weeks is still a short time for the internal healing process to have finished. I would wait a while longer then speak to your GP if you're concerned

The internal healing takes a lot longer than the external healing. It was probably 4 months before I started feeling better than I did before the surgery. Not a complete cure for me but a big improvement.
