Does PoD endo feel like this.....

I keep having flare ups that feel like I’ve been hit deep inside with an iron bar! Dramatic I know! The problem is that it’s hard to tell if the pain is vaginal or rectal and I can’t get any relief! If it is rectal I’d expect it to worsen/improve with a BM but it makes no difference! Could this be PoD endo?

I have rectal-vaginal endo and always get rectal pain. Sometimes i can't tell if it's coming from the rectum or vagina. Sometimes it feels like a stabbing pain, other times it feels like a constant ache. Sometimes it throbs with pain. Pain can vary, but a lot of people with endo in that region tend to get some sort of discomfort/pain that varies. My pains do tend to be severe when i'm about to start my period so i take strong pain relief - even that just eases the pain a little. Have you been diagnosed with endo on your pod?

I’m exactly the same. Always aches and sometimes stabbing feeling around period. I have RV endo diagnoses by lap.

I’m the same! Are you going to have it removed?

i was told getting it removed was high risk, and that there was a good chance i'd need a colostomy bag for a while. So i decided against it. I was told pregnancy would resolve it. As my womb grows, the area would unstick itself. I'm hoping that's what will happen. How about you? Will you be getting it removed? It's a pain up the bum! (no pun intended)

I had excision but it hasn’t really helped that part of the pain. I can eat much more easily though.

I’m waiting for a date to come through, hopefully March time. Yes I’ve been told I might need a colostomy bag while it heals but that it’s very rare but they won’t know until they do the op. 1 in 100. I feel like my symptoms are getting worse and was told if not done then it could cause more problems in the future. It wasn’t ever really discussed whether to have it or not, I was just put straight through. Am worried about having it done though and wonder if I could wait longer, but then, what am I waiting for?! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Same! Although I also have v painful bowel movements when on my period. I’m waiting for another lap to remove it.
