Have I gone into early menopause after Zoladex?

I had my last injection in July for Zoladex, deciding I wanted to stop to attempt to conceive. Still have not had a period! I am still experiencing nausea, hot flushes, pain, pelvic pain. But nothing... I don't know what is happening as Google just presents me with people who have waited a couple of months and have started their cycle as usual again. Don't know what to do!

I would say go talk to your doctor im on my 5th lot of zoladex injections and most of the time my periods have come back between 5 and 6 months after ive stoped them. But depeneing on how old you are it could have done im now 31. Everybodys body works diffently and if u dont feel right then best get checked out. As some times it can take up to a year for ypur holomnes to reajust. I hope this helps

Hello,

How long were you on them for? I had a 6 month course and my cycles returned in about 6 weeks, but I was then prescribed a much longer course and it took 18months for me to have a cycle again. As Fran_22 says, everyone is unique so it is probably best if you have a chat to your GP and prescribing specialist. That can run tests and assess things like the AMH levels in your blood to get a better picture of what might be going on.

Best of luck, x X x

I’m having same problem, my doctor told me my period will start again within a month of coming off it, I’ve been on zoladex for nearly 5 years and 2 months later still not had a bleed! I’m only 22 and just want my body to have a natural cycle again Xxx

Thank you all - I'm going to my doctor's tomorrow to discuss and get re-referred as I was signed off my specialist in September! It' so sad, I'm only 23 and I feel like this is endless. Working full time doesn't help but gotta' get the money somewhere. Best to you all x
