They found my endometrioma on my right ovary has increased to 5.45cm. The clinic said I can have transfer as the cyst wont impact implantation but it might be a problem if it ruptures in the future. I have contacted my GP to try to get a lap but have no idea how long the waiting time might be. Can anyone tell me? I'm in West London. Should I have lap first? Clinic said it's up to me. Lap will impact ovarian tissue but I am not using my own eggs so I don't really care.

I cannot answer that question, only share how I got treatment.
I am based in the Netherlans where most of the doctors think surgery is not needed for endo, even if you have a 5cm endometrioma. Since I couldn’t get proper treatment, suffering and unable to work is not a good enough reason to be taken seriously, only a childwish would have been- so I went elswhere. Found Nancy’s nook facebook group and had an excision surgery in Romania in a private hospital. The waiting list was about 1,5minth long. That was doable. And the endometrioma was cut out, not just drained.
My health insurance covered most of it, and I have no regrets.
You need an experienced and highly skilled excision surgeon to drain it and excise it completely. Ovarian reserve won't be impacted too much. I suggest looking for a surgeon from the Surgeons International list in the Nancy Nook group on Facebook, as suggested before me.
