Follow up from diagnostic laparoscopy

Hi all, it's so lovely to find you guys!! I had a laparoscopy yesterday and doing well apart from the usual brain fog and soreness. I was just wondering how long it took you guys to have a follow up appointment with the endo team/consultant after having one done. They told me yesterday that I have moderate endometriosis on both sides of my pelvis and rectovaginal (I think they mentioned pouch of Douglas but I was still groggy from the anaesthetic). They didn't take anything out yesterday so I am just left wondering what next steps/time lines there will be. If any of you have had similar experiences it would be fab to hear from you ♥️

Hi there Veromina

I had my lap back in April diagnosed stage 2 and like you my pouch of Douglas was mentions but not much else. I've had no follow up :( I've had the merina coil fitted which seems to help buy over last couple months started suffering again. I'm going to chase the hospital and find out why I didnt get a letter or appointment after x

Hi Veromina.

I cannot remember very well, but I think it was a few weeks after. Lets say 6 or 8 perhaps. I remember feeling well enough to go on the bus and to walk without any problems. They should invite you in for a check up.

I had my lap in October and they removed the endo but I was not given a follow up appointment. They didn’t even come and see me after surgery. I was just given discharge notes. Left me feeling very confused and alone, with lots of questions unanswered. I need to make time to call the hospital or see my GP and ask for a follow up appointment. If you don’t hear anything, maybe do the same? X
