Hi I have my diagnostic lap on 2nd August. I was just wondering what the recovery time will be like after.
I think it depends largely on if they find endo and remove any. I was diagnosed via lap 2 weeks ago and all was removed. My Dr told me if diagnostic only 3-4 days off work should be sufficient but following surgery I was signed off for 2 weeks. I began to feel much better 1 week post op. Hope this helps!
Hi I had a diagnostic lap a few years back then 8 weeks later another lap. I'm couldn't go back to work for months but they found I had PID and I was duagnosed with chronic pelvic pain. 3-4 days to return to work does not seem realistic to me. Afterall even though it's keyhole they are still cutting into you and causing trauma on the inside. Only go back when you are ready. I went for a hysterectomy a few weeks ago but they couldn't do it as my bowel is adhered to my womb so technically I had another lap. I'm still very bruised particularly on one side but I also suffer chronic pelvic pain from PID.
Hey 👋 I had a diagnostic lap, hysteroscopy, coil inserted, womb biopsy and they also burnt off endo - this was on the 14th June and was signed off for 2 weeks, today’s my first day back... I’m much better however still in pain and bleeding very heavily I just need to go back due to financial problems. I would advise 2 weeks at minimum 💖 good luck x
