IVF FET protocol for endometriosis, natural FET? Success stories?!

I was just wondering what others experiences had been for FET’s with endometriosis and what protocols people were on along with success stories.

Our fresh round failed in June and our first FET has just failed too. I was told I’d be monitored closely with the HRT meds as I have endo but this wasn’t the case and I was later told by a different consultant that it would have no impact. I hated taking so many meds for so long and have also recently found out I have a growth on my liver which isn’t anything to worry about but is fed by Estrogen so I’m worried about this getting bigger if I do another medicated FET.

I’d really love to hear about the experiences of others and whether natural FETs work well and any success stories, thanks in advance!

Hi x same here, our FET just failed and I felt TERRIBLE on the progynova. I'm convinced it elevated my endo and made the implantation fail. We had a positive for a few days then lost it. We are going to try a natural frozen transfer next - no drugs. Looking forward to it and have positive hopes! x

I’m so sorry to hear about your failed round, it’s so tough. I hope you are doing ok. Were your clinic supportive of you opting for a natural transfer? Still waiting for our follow up but hoping they’ll discuss this with us. Wishing you all the very best with your next round and thank you so much for taking the time to reply xxx

Hi xx yes we are ok, hoe are you doing? It’s tough isn’t it. We have had 2 failed rounds now. Our clinic were really supportive about trying natural in our consultation today. It sounds so much better - involves more scans as the timing can be tricky but I’m prepared to try it because I just know my body won’t respond properly to another medicated FET.

We are going to try it next year, having a little break first.

What’s your plan ? Xx

That sounds like a good plan. We’ve had 2 failed rounds now too, doing ok just not really looking forward to another Christmas without being any closer to having a family. Trying to keep busy and just waiting for our follow up appointment but definitely going to ask for a natural FET. That’s great your clinic were supportive I hope mine are too. I hope that you are able to have a good Christmas and use the break to do something nice before starting your next round, good luck xxx

Thanks so much. Unfortunately both my parents died of cancer this year so Christmas is going to be tough.

Just battling through the days at the moment. Still have some hope for next year.

Let me know how you get on x

Hope you find some happiness this Christmas too. We have to believe that there is a bigger plan for us and things will somehow work out xxx

I’m so sorry to hear that, sounds like it’s been a really tough year for you. Sending you big hugs and best wishes for an amazing 2020.

I agree with thinking about the bigger plan, I’m usually a bit more positive and hope that this returns soon! Let’s keep in touch if you are happy to, I hope your Christmas is ok and that you can do something nice while you are having a break before you next cycle xxx

Hi sorry joining this late but I am in the same boat as you both and wanted to ask whether you had planned to go ahead with the natural cycle? And have you ever had any surgery? I’ve just failed my FET too and wondering what best to do for the next round. It’s so hard. xx

Hello, how are you doing? I’m really sorry to hear about your FET. My clinic weren’t keen for me to have a natural cycle and recommended another medicated FET as their success rates for these are better. I’ve just started meds for this. I had surgery Feb 19 just before I had my first round of ivf but the endometriomas on my ovaries had grown back by October which is annoying. They were only a couple of cms then but I can feel them so think they may have gotten bigger since then will have to wait for my scan in a few weeks. Wishing you all the best whatever you choose xxx

How long have they put you on them for? Trying to decide how long I should take them for next transfer..

Usually for 2 weeks then a scan before starting progynova but it took me longer to down regulate last time so have a scan this time after 3 weeks xxx

From what I heard the meds can trigger endo and a natural approach to ivf is better x
