Another question! I have really bad constipation and have for a while, whether this is solely linked to my suspected endo I’m not sure.
But when I have managed to have a bowel movement, I have been getting abdominal pains in my very lower abdomen, like as low as you can go. Is that a normal constipation symptom, or do you think related to endometriosis?
Alongside this I get stabbing pains in my bowel and basically feel like it stitched up when I’m on my period, it’s that painful.
As I’ve said my previous posts, this pain isn’t always constant. However what is constant is the constipation and my crippling lower back pain.
Sorry to hear you're going through that. I have similar. I am often consitpated, especially in the run up to my period and it feels like I have rocks in there. My abdomen gets so tender and it definitely contributes to my constant lower back pain. I often feel as though my whole pelvis area is tender particularly after a movement.
I was diagnosed with mild endometriosis recently and it explained the back pain, but has not explained the bowel problems. I also seem to alternate between constipation and diarrhea which makes my back and abdomen hurt more too!
Hi. One of my first symptoms of endo was sharp darting pains in my lower abdomen before a bowel movement. This used to be around my period and changed to all the time. I find avoiding being constipated (by laxative means if necessary) helps.
A recent mri scan shows endo between my bowel and uterus.
I also have dull lower back pain and nerve pain constantly (although painkillers are heloing).
I would be careful assuming it is because of endo as there can be lost of causes but certainly it can be.
Getting rid of the constipation would be my first step as I am positive it makes the pain worse.
Hope this helps and you find solutions that work for you. Xx
