Waiting for my 5th surgery

Hi everyone,

So I was told at my appointment last week that I'm on the list for a laparoscopy and excision surgery with Dr Phillips at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough. I just rang them today for a rough estimate of how long the waiting list is as I'm making holiday plans for early next year and his secretary said 6-12 months! I was expecting 6-12 weeks! Has anyone or is anyone currently waiting for surgery with Dr. Phillips and can shed some light on how long they waited/have been waiting? The only reason I ask is that I'm currently in daily pain but my pain killers no longer work and I'll most likely need to try something new. Also any suggestions for meds that work would be great!
