If you Google BSGE and then the hospital you'll find which gynecologist are registered as bsge surgeons in that hospital.
Most hospitals also have a bit about each Dr and you can find their special interests on there too. I. E. If they are not a bsge surgeon but do have a specialist interest in endo.
As endometriosis is suspected you must been seen by someone who atleast has a specialist interest in endo. But if bowel/bladder is suspected to be involved then it should be a bsge surgeon
The suspicion is only based on my symptoms, I did have a raised CA-125 but understand that's not a lot to go by. I am just so worried that I could put myself through a lap and something could be missed. I have tried Google but cant find any online profiles for them.
The consultants are both based at Nevil Hall Abergavenny (South Wales)
Thier names are
Mr Farut Oweis
Mr Subrata Majundar
Thanks again
Ps- I think I have deep infiltrated endo as my lower back pain and leg pain has gone unbearable. I am now on nerve tablets which has helped a little. It used to coincide with my periods but now it's been constant for a few months.
I had a pelvis and abdomen MRI to see how extensive my Stage 4: Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis had spread.
If you have Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis I would definitely see a BSGE Endometriosis specialist or a Nook Surgeon as excision of Endometriosis adhesions etc will need to be carried out. You need one who is experienced and has training in minimally invasive surgery to get the best outcome.
